Word Limit:- 6000 METHODOLOGY literature survey case study/interview of practitioners and stakeholders such as trade organisations of repairers, consumers, retailers and their trade organisations as well as academics. Workshop and redesign evidence will also be used. The purpose of the literature survey would be to identify and record extant knowledge/understanding that may be compared to case study evidence. The product disassembly and analysis would aim to provide information on how engineering/design can help assist products potential for reuse. Consumer interview may help reveal whether awareness-raising is required and how markets can be developed/augmented REQUIRED OUTCOME Hard empirical evidence of the state of reuse for the selected sector. Identification of the current trends in reuse activity in the sector. Identification of the key factors that influence the rate of reuse activity in the sector plus identification of such factors that are common to the sector Propositions on practices & steps that may help to increase the level of reuse in the UK
