I need a programmer familiar with node.js

I am making a piece of generative music that interacts with audience members via the internet. The idea is that users can access a website (I have a wordpress site that I usually use for this kind of thing) during the performance and vote as to if they like what is happening in the music. This voting data will be fed into max8 and trigger the music to change elements about how it is generated. I have been using a visit counter widget to two different subpages of my website and attempting to scrape that data, but I imagine there's an easier way to do this. I can do all of the necessary work in max, but need a node script that can access voting data.
