Hi, I will be very honest upfront. You will not get an experienced "marketing extraodinaire" for £2 - £5 / hr. I have done a fair bit of work in marketing but my domains have been e-commerce and brand building platforms. I have never worked for a podcast and my rates are much higher than you are offering but I am planning to use this as a learning experience. Unfortunately, I do not know much about the podcast you are producing. If you could let me know what it is about, what your target audience is and your marketing effort thus far, I can add my thoughts about the direction of the product and the marketing as well. The platforms and the strategies you use will really depend on your demographic. I do believe audio has a huge scope of growth and is where the newer marketing strategies will be applied especially with the growth of voice assistant. But you would have to leverage current media to grow. I do not know what your budgets are but most social media is a play to pay market. We would have to devise out of the box strategies to really make a mark with a "shoe-string budget." I am not constantly pointing out issues with the budget to increase my payday. I will gladly take the pay cut for the experience but I believe you should have realistic expectations from your marketing efforts.
