Hello
I am an iOS and OS X system developer. I have been working with Objective-C for over 7 years, I've worked with video capturing and processing, using both QTKit/AVFoundation frameworks. I have also used OpenCV along with CoreImage for image processing.
For what it's worth, I have graduated with the Applied Mathematics degree. I understand the technical papers, terminology and I do have a solid background in signal processing. Some of the recent projects I completed were audio units that transform sound based on known algorithms. Interpolation and approximation algorithm implementation was my freshman year's term-paper back at university.
A few years back I have implemented a statistical algorithm for close to real time data exchange, based on several scientific papers.
I have read your specification and the accompanying paper.
You mentioned “the algorithm should acquire the baseline”. I understand that means getting statistical average of multiple measurements, and later using those as a reference for the normal user state? Can you describe your idea further?
iPhone 5 and iOS 8.0 and onwards support is not a problem. Generally what is required is getting video frames from the camera and post processing (the latter doesn’t involve using iOS APIs, more mathematics). I can explicitly make sure the app works iPhone 5. I would also use only APIs available on iOS 8 and onwards.
The project sounds really interesting, I would be happy to help you with the development!
