Floorplan Spec
The project is to create a drag and drop floorplan editor using set elements to drag onto the
floorplan in a similar way to how Microsoft Visio functions.
Examples of similar systems online are below and features i’d like to see in the final product

There are many packages that already do a large chunk of the work, but need coding to suit
our use case. Eg [login to view URL] looks a favorite
There is no requirement for a 3d view, a simple top down floorplan.
The use case for this is for on site engineers to log samples of material taken from the wall
and ceiling of various properties.
The diagram will be an integral part of this system, allowing the engineers to pinpoint where
each sample has been taken from.
Specification
● Top down room diagram creation, dimensions are not required
● Ability to mark doors and windows on the walls
● Ability to drag and resize elements into the rooms, full list to be provided later but will
be things like “sofa”, “fridge”, “toilet”
● Save button will store the full diagram in a cookie
● Ability to load saved diagram from cookie
● “Collect Sample mode” upon pressing a button for sample mode, the diagram will no
longer be editable. Clicking on the diagram will trigger an alert with the coordinates of
the click (which i can later assign to a function)
Requisites
● Must function on a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet or similar
● Must work offline / be fully browser based (if this is an issue i can assist here as long
as it is browser based)
● Must be quick and easy to use
The diagram drawing system will be used within an offline react project, although i have no
issues with the diagram part being built with anything else.
