Design icons to show hotel highlights

I need icons for showing the highlights of the hotels on my website such as mountain location or family friendly.
Each hotel will have 4-8 highlights and on each hotel page there will be the icons, a highlight title (mountain location etc) and then a short paragraph to explain about each highlight.
The website theme is light blues/turquoise because we sell wellness/spa trips. The icons should be a neutral colour that fits in the theme of the website - so blues/greens/purples rather than reds and yellows. It would be preferable if these same icons could be used for our next website that will concentrate on mountains and blues/greens also work for that.
It would be better if the icon is still identifiable when made smaller. When the customer does a hotel search each hotel is shown with a thumbnail photo and the 4-8 highlight icons displayed in a smaller form, underneath that photo. If the icon is too complex it will not make sense when shrunk.
