Create an executable macro from the command line that assembles xls files into one with tabs and proper formatting

Hi, I would do it this way: I would build the Excel workbook with the VBA macro inside, that would start automatically just on Workbook open (and opening of this workbook would be invoked from your Python script, as you plan). The macro would then do all the formatting as needed (it would open files indicated, copy them to single workbook, save etc.). The only problem are parameters.... The workbook and the VBA cannot accept them on opening of the workbook. So, the list of files (parameters you mentioned) would need to be passed in form of let's say txt file saved by Python script in one step before opening the Excel.\ Anyway, it is doable.
