Scenario Generation and Scenario Reduction

Assuming to have a certain number of generating units which can be either in operating or failure status, integrated with renewable micro-sources (such as PV or/and wind Turbine) which their probability density functions are known, how to generate various scenarios using Monte Carlo simulation and determine the probability of occurrence of each scenario?

Moreover, how to reduce the number of created scenarios to a certain number (let's say 10)? I need the code in Matlab and the related comments in the code so that I could figure out how it is done.
