Designing a digital 20A buck boost SMPS

I would like to create a digital SMPS with these specifications: Input: 20~45V, 20A Output: 29.4V +- 0.1V (configurable in the range 25~34V) Current: 20A continuous, or more Efficiency: > 85% Must be digitally controllable: though serial, SPI or whatever, we must be able to control output voltage => most important part Input GND should be linkable with output GND => I was thinking about a SEPIC topology I'm searching for someone able to design such an SPMS. Providing me an electronic schema and a BOM of the components available in common electronic stores. PCB design and manufacturing is a plus. ------------------ Full project description: This SMPS is just a part of a bigger project: I'm aiming to create an "IoT" and scalable solar power solution: - X parallel solar panels (0~42V, 300W, 30V 10A peak) => connected to - N parallel SMPS, able to deliver constant current, floating voltage and vice versa (floating current, fixed voltage), where the max voltage and current will be defined by a "master". Moreover, current and voltage monitoring (both input and output) should be a must have, where an OV, UV and reverse protection is a nice to have. So in reality, 20A is just a number I took to mitigate the cost but it is not a fixed choice, 10A would be fine if it cost 2 times less. => connected to - L parallel 7S lipo batteries with BMS => connected to - Y inverters Each of there parts must be "plug and play" and "IoT" to enable high scalability and monitoring

Hello, monsieur. I have several ready-made solutions to a similar problem (it would be strange if they had not been in 20 years of my practice). About SEPIC ... I have to do a little calculation. The output current bothers me. The capacitor will not be small. But in any case, we will solve this issue. The main issue is the circuit board. I insist that I have to make a board too. If this is a matter of principle, then I can do it for free (without charging time), but as you know, the topology of the board for pulsed sources is very important. Improper topology can lead to inoperability of the correct circuitry. In general, let's discuss this in more detail.

I am an electronic engineer with 20 years of experience. I've done a lot of projects so far. I use Altium for electronic design. I design libraries and schematics using IC's datasheets. There are examples attached. I have 10 years of experience in power electronics. I worked on DC-DC converter, inverter, solar energy and wind energy. If you have any questions, you can ask. I fit your time and budget. Please return.

I am a Research Assistant in IIT Bombay in power electronics domain, specifically in DC-DC converters. I have been working in electronics embedded hardware industry for the last 4 years. I am a teacher/trainer for PCB designing. I have worked for Indian Government institutions like DRDO, BARC, CDIL and BEL. I use the following software: Orcad Layout, Orcad Allegro, Kicad, Cdsoft Eagle and Altium. I have made up to 10 layers of PCBs till now. Compact PCB's are my specialty and I assure you that once the PCB is brought up, it is a sure shot to work. None of the PCBs made with my recommendations have ever failed. Embedded, High Power, RF and DSP based circuits are some of the domains where I have worked in. We can have a word about how to proceed with the project. If you like my ideas, we can go ahead otherwise someone else gets the treat.

I have a work experience of 7 years in power electronics. in my work experience i have worked on projects from 30W to 440W. worked on a similar project with a controlled output V of 20 - 25V and current 17-20A We can divide the project in to several milestones and work accordingly. you can expect good time plans and documentation with the design. I can provide you not only a good design with easily available ICs but also I will provide you with good documentation. Good documentation includes 1. DETAILED TIME PLAN OF PROJECT WITH ADHERENCE 2. SCHEMATIC WITH ALL FOOTPRINTS AND VALUES 3. LAYOUT WITH LIBRARY PACKAGE AND OTHER DETAILS 4. B.O.M INCLUDING THE COST AND SOURCES OF ALL THE COMPONENTS AND 1 ALTERNATE OF EACH COMPONENT. 5. DESIGN FOR ASSEMBLY 6. DFMEA 7. OTHER DETAIL DOCUMENTS

I design circuits, prototype, write firmware/software and debug. I'm too short of space here to tell you about myself -- let's focus on the project... This project is very interesting. I have done previous research in something very similar to your design except -- that I did not include plug-in-play in my concept. My idea would be to attach power systems to a common 48VDC bus and allow those systems to push and pull power from that common bus and pass around the power to charge their batteries. Here is why...... One feature that is very valuable inside any Solar driven system is the concept of MPPT. This is maximum power point tracking. A single serialized solar panel is ideal for a power control system to implement MPPT. Once you wire panels in parallel, you lose the value of true MPPT because the panels will fight each other when 2 panels are differently exposed to sunlight. So, to get the maximum benefit for MPPT, you really want one dedicated controller/charger for each large high quality standard solar panel. And you want your battery store to match your incoming forward voltage of that one large solar panel. For a high-end panel -- you are talking 48V and about 10 Amps -- (500Watts). And you'll want a battery bank of about 48 voltage so the charger system is matched as well as possible to the battery store. I'm out of space here to write further -- please contact me because this is a project I would be well suited to accomplish.
