This project has to include circuits:
lipo Batt charger,
AC to DC Rectifier and regulator for the generator,
Adjustable voltage regulators for the outputs,
sort circuit protection,
reverse pollarity protection,
15A max continious each output,
Fail safe switch system.
TX controled outputs via Transmitter (PWM Signals)
Micro lcd display
The idea is to design am all in one unit, with 2 or 3 floor pcb boards that can provide a 100% safe power distribution and self batteries charging via the generator and full redundacy. The unit is going to be used on RC Helicopters.
If some battery fails the system must stays ON and work without an issue at all!
The generator producing energy all the time as the main engine runs (the electric motor is connected mechanically to the engine ) and the power that is producing has to feed the system direct but the charger of the lipo batteries too.
So every time that the Helicpter flys it charges the batteries too like our cars!
The power has to be noise free and perfect clean cause the electronics that it provides the energy are very sensitive and if something fails the Helicopter will crash!
Each battery it has to have RGB led indicator for it's state
that indicates it's voltage level per Cell (Green for over 4V - Orange for over 3.7V - Red for under 3.5V)
It would be a nice if we can put a tiny volt meter that will saws us the output voltage of the generator as it works..
The switching ON-OFF has to be done via fail safe switch!
maximum Unit dimensions : 45MM X 80MM
Height : close to 20MM
Iputs
2 X Lipo 7.4V Batteries (2 cells)
1 X 3 Phase Brushless motor (3 cables)
1 X switch with fail safe
2 X PWM Signals from the TX (signal like servos uses)
Outputs
3 X adjustable + full regulated 10A Max (4,8V - 6V - 7,4V - 8,4V)
2 X (EXT) PWM controled adjustable + full regulated 10A max (4,8V - 6V - 7,4V - 8,4V) + special filtered from the noise of the load that be connected like CDI modules or electric pumps..
The inputs hardware has to be
for the baterries :
- Balance Plug: JST-XH
- Discharge Plug: T-plug + pins for Futaba plug
For the motor cables:
- a terminal for 3 cables
for the switch cable:
- 3 pins for Futaba plug
Some usefull links about the seperated circuits that we will combine to our one special unit..
On board generator :
we want something like this but with better specs..

Hello ,i am mechatronic engineer and i am studying now electronic circuit and design it .
By chance , i have the same project , i am professional at design and analysis any electronic circuit .
So choose me its easy for me and will finish it less than 1 day , so contact me pls
Hi
Nice project, but just question, how the helicopter will be powered?, by battery?, and how charged?, by that charger?
I hope we can talk, please message me
