Food Tray Images Annotation

The task consists in, given a set of pictures of food trays taken on a self-service restaurant, draw the corresponding bounding boxes on each of the food types present in the picture. Furthermore, for each of the bounding boxes, a specific food type/dish must be selected from the provided list. ANNOTATION INSTRUCTIONS 1) Access the image annotation website. 2) Select a job from the list (dropdown menu on the top-right side of the page). 3) Investigate the visual appearance of all the dishes/ingredients that appear in the predefined list next to the displayed image. The dish names are written in Spanish, you should first search the dish names on google images/google translate to understand what they are. 4) For each of the food items present in the image (see CRITERIA FOR FOOD IDENTIFICATION): 3.1) Draw a bounding box on it by clicking on the top-left and bottom-right corners. 3.2) Select one of the available items in the right-hand side list. 5) If no food item/dish appears in the tray present in the image, then the button “None” must be clicked. 6) Click on the top right/left arrows to view the previous/next image and annotate them all. 7) Repeat points 2 to 6 until all images from all the assigned jobs have been annotated. If a mistake is made during the input of a bounding box or a dish name, press the top-center button that is in between the right and left arrows. It will reset the image for re-annotation. If any of the images were wrongly annotated you can go back to double-check and correct any of the images’ annotations. QUALITY ASSURANCE AND PAYMENT After finishing the image annotation process for the assigned jobs, the employer will check the quality of the job. If the quality of the annotations is not enough, then the freelancer will be required to check the annotations assigned. The payment will be received only after the quality assurance process. Each of the assigned jobs will contain a variable number of images. The payment will depend on the total number of images included in the job/s that was/were assigned to the freelancer. The indicated project budget corresponds to the payment received for annotating a total of 500 images. If the freelancer annotates the images of more than one job he/she will receive the amount corresponding to the total images annotated.
