We need of a simple software example that simulate a virtual network interface. The requirements it's: > The software must to be in C++ > Compatible with all Linux 64 bit based systems > When the program start must to assign IP, gateway and DNS to the interface > Must to read the request and give a response. For example if I receive data from IP [login to view URL] I must to be able to catch this request, open a thread and elaborate this request. Into our example it's just needed to log: > the data received with client IP > the sent data with server IP The program with the virtual network interface must also to be able also to send data with a server IP on a port of listening program (and must to be logged) The patterns must to be clean and allow to us to modify and extend the software.

Basically you want a server made in C++. This server have to receive the requests of other computers (clients) and register a log event. Other thing is that you don't mentioned any GUI. I'm correct?
