Hello Mr/Ms
We have been developing applications for financial institutions to automate processes and risk methodologies calculations.
One of the languages we have been working to accomplish this goals is R. This is an extremely powerful tool that can help you achieve almost any goal. But I think you already know that.
We have the skills needed to help you achieve your goal to program a model in R language.
I suggest you can think a model like an R function, and this way we can give the project the following structure:
1.- Define inputs to the function: type and number of inputs.
2.- Parameters of the model: type, number of parameters and location (database, text file).
3.- Model calculations: we need to understand the goal of the function, to program a structured algorithm that can accomplish the goal you need.
4.- Output of the model: According to the goal of the function, we can define the most appropriate output and the format this output needs (you need an array in certain format, or store values on a database, or a graphical output).
5.- Finally we can write a simple user's manual to understand the logic of the function developed.
Hope you like the structure of the project, and we are also open to suggestions from you, or to change the project organization in order to better accomplish your goal.
Best regards
Hector De Sousa
