I have created a garden design which has proved sufficient to quote for, but I'd like to have it drawn up properly so that dimensions etc can be properly read from it as the work is undertaken. I have an existing measured survey of the garden which can be used as a basis for this.
Around my garden is to be an 8ft brick wall, one element of which already exists at a height of 8ft and other elements at a height of 6ft. One side, however, has to be built from scratch to replace a dilapidated wooden fence. I'd like to have this requirement drawn up and properly specified where appropriate, in part to submit for planning permission and in part as guidance for any contractor.
At my back door I wish to have an open porch on heavy wooden pillars with a tiled heritage sort of rooflet, in keeping with the style of the front door porch and other elements of the house.
The house was built around 1870. The garden I am talking about is the rear garden. It is the same width as the house, but less deep. It backs onto the Bel and Dragon public house in Cookham. You may be able to find it on your mapping system. We are within a Conservation Area but the house is not listed.
I have felt that the job is suitable for an Architectural Technician but am open-minded on this point. I need someone who can get the work done fairly quickly as I am anxious to get quotes for the wall and get my planning application in.
The location is Cookham, Berkshire. The plan that I have attached is the measured survey of the existing garden.
If you can give me an indication of your suitability for these tasks, plus hourly rate, I could invite you to come and take a look.
