configure virtualhost for angularjs application on AWS EC2 instance

I have an angular application deployed on EC2 Ubuntu instance.
Its running on <hostname>:8000/app
I need help on configuring the virtual host for this application, when the user its <hostname> the application should load and points to index.html.
I also need help on fixing language translation issue on the side nav, say, I have contents to be displayed on the language preferred by the user, it working fine on all areas, but on side nav menu selection, its going to the default language.
