What the app does already

• Display and save user config parameters

• Display log of messages transmitted to server

• Display log of messages sent to server

• Display Compass

• Send init to server via REST

• Send GPS position and bearing to webserver via REST

• Receive information from a webserver through Firebase messaging

PHASE I: What we'll build / update

• Add and save additional user config parameters

• Display Status

• Display a list of BLE devices

• Display list of responses sent to server

• Save selected BLE device

• Receive command from server and send to BLE device through vendor provided library

• Receive response and status from BLE device and forward to server

• Send Keep-alive signal to BLE device

Sprinting Protocol

• We will work together on my Android Studio and Visual Studio platforms

• We will use [Removed by Freelancer.com Admin for offsiting - please see Section 13 of our Terms and Conditions] screen sharing

• We will use Gitlab as the repository for all code tracking

• We will both be on-time for each mutually agreed upon meeting

• Payment is $120 for 6 hours at the end of each day

o we may, or may not, be connected to skype the entire 6 hours. This will depend on what needs to get done and how comfortable we both are with splitting up and checking back in at the end of the shift or at the beginning of the next meeting

• You will help with

o Gitlab configuration and operation (for code updates)

o Java coding

o code assessment and walk-through of vendor provided library

o integrating vendor provided code

o calling vendor provided functions to communicate with BLE device

You must have

• Very good English listening and speaking skills

• Good with Android Studio, Java coding, and reading and ripping code

• Know how to use a Git repo to manage code

• Ability to screen share [Removed by Freelancer.com Admin for offsiting - please see Section 13 of our Terms and Conditions]

• Committed to being on time

• A sense of humor and an interest in building stuff
