Building Online Store with Payment Integration

I am interested to build an online store with real time payment processing. The work involves designing an attractive website with shopping cart and payment integration with merchant bank/third parties. The website should have customer's registration as well as checking out as "guest" facility. I would prefer multiple payment gateways like worldpay, swipehq, eftpos, Paypal, moneybookers etc.
This project is in initial phase and I haven't yet bought web hosting. Since the online store will be New Zealand based, my thoughts are for [login to view URL] for web hosting package. I am open to other hosting companies as well but NO to cheap US based hosting companies where site is down mostly. Your comments and suggestions are welcome.
The online store will have approximately 150-200 items including clothes (boys, girls, men, women), sportswear, toys, gifts etc.
If you are interested, please quote your previous experience, though I would not mind fresh starters.
Most importantly, if you have required skills, you will have to send me a demo store (1-2 pages sufficient) with any free payment processor like paypal, moneybooker etc. I will only evaluate if you are capable of doing this job. The demo store should not have any broken links or code error.
