Simple for those who know Amazon, not so simple for me. I have an Amazon Sellers account. I only have 1 item for sale. I need to create the ability for a shopper to go to a page and click on the item I want to sell and purchase multiples of this item by clicking directly through to the Amazon Checkout.
This may seem very simple. All it should take is embedding the Amazon Checkout or Shopping cart on our page. However, Amazon says that if you use this, the shopper can only buy one of this item. That seems ridiculous but appears to be the case. So I need someone to enable the shopping cart on our site to allow for multiples of this item and then communicate with Amazon Shopping cart or checkout (not sure the difference) to make this all happen.

We are looking for a quick turn-around. We have a developer who is creating the site so you will only need to pass the code to him to embed on the page. He will do the rest.

I have read your email, and understand you would like to put a Checkout by Amazon button on you existing Website for a single product.
Currently the Checkout button only supports a quantity of 1, so it would not be possible for a buyer to select multiples of an item.
To address your second question, It is not possible to have the checkout button automatically populate during the creation process, and you will need to enter all the required information. You can learn more about the checkout button at the following link:
