Looking to build a database of standard financial data for all publicly traded companies. The initial temporary data could be collected via the Yahoo Finance API, however, longer term solution would be to extract the data from public filling with the SEC. There will need to be functionality built into the database to update the data on a regular basis. The web interface (website) will be very clean and simple, with some basic daily market data (Index & sector performance) and four to five tabs to different functionality. 1. The first tab would be the screener (database search), and would function like [login to view URL] but with a cleaner/simpler interface 2. Tab two would be a research tab, which would display individual stock data (all data from the DB on a particular stock). 3. The third tab would be the portfolio tracker. The first two tabs would allow the user to add a stock to the portfolio to track. At this time, i'm not looking to retain this portfolio for the users, but simply allow them to add stocks to a list during their session. Once the basic functionality is built, two additional tabs will be added - economic data and maintenance. Utilization of AWS is strongly desired. An account and instances have already been created. Full documentation will be required. Once this has been successfully implemented, an follow up project will be available to add more functionality. *** Full Disclosure *** this is my first attempt on freelancer.com, so a more formal requirements document can/will be provided. Hey Mate - I have been working for a investment bank for 7 Years develop tools which manage financial data. I know the ins and out of this job. Your requirements aren't sufficient. I can even help you create a proper requirements document. If you go with one of the bids from asia, I can tell you will have significant communication issue, quality of the code will be lacking ( which will cause issues when you want to implement future requirements) and high probability of your project being delayed. However if you are will to put up with all this and a lot of frustration then accept one of the bids for $1000. Anyway let me know if you have any questions.
