We are in need of a BigCommerce template designer to create a fully responsive theme for our new store that will integrate well with our products, our clients and our current site (current site is not BigCommerce) www.exelwines.co.uk. If we had to sum up the requirements in 5 points it would probably be: 1. Clean and simple design - With an intuitive flow that is attractive to look at, uncluttered and flexible enough to allow us to offer customisations based on the user, seasonal promos etc 2. Navigation of 10,000 products and almost as many category sets - This is our biggest challenge, most clients are daunted by our sheer volume of products and the difficulty this poses to just browse. We need clever solutions to tackle long lists of country, grape, producer and other categories 3. SEO - Leveraging the native capacities within a good template design. From good practise coding to the right meta details in the right paces. 4. Mobile responsive design - A big letdown of the current site and something that is a big reason for moving to the SaaS cart route is the natural ability to provide a responsive design that will tie in well with a future mobile app 5. Well coded for future development - We never stop growing and coming up with new ideas, testing out new software and codes, and tweaking what we do and how we do it. So it is essential that the template is provided in a well thought out manner that is easy to follow for future development (be that by us or third party). We will also require a slightly custom feel to several of the major category sets so that we can display different information for different types of products eg whiskies require very different info to wine. As before experience in BigCommerce design is essential and you should reply with some example sites that have been designed by you on BigCommerce. Final bidding can be placed once you have looked over the full specification sheets. We have big plans for the website and a complicated set of products that we work with so your experience should reflect this. Please include some allowance for extra feature requests and to perfect the work that you do.
