Creative Template Modification

It does not necessary need to be in flash. Html will be ok too. The resulting modification should make it difficult to recognise as being previously a template. Adding elements or replacing existing ones in a creative way should do just fine. I heard some designers are very creative at doing this. Have you ever done similar work?
