I need a Windows application that does the following... Downloads a file from an FTP server. Uploads a file to an FTP server. This program should run in the Windows System Tray and should 'watch' the FTP directory for new files. It should then download the files (several at a time) to a specific location. This program should 'watch' a specific Windows directory and upload files to the FTP server (several at a time). This progam should also be able to extract a thumbnail from the file if the file is a specific type. The progam should also track what has been download or uploaded with the ability to view the file. This progam should have an options screen that allows the user to specify the FTP server information, local directory, and number of upload/downloads the application can perform at the same time. Language ------------------- VB.NET OS ------------------ Application should run on either XP, 2003 Server, or Vista.

I have sent the screenshots of a similar application I have developed to automate the uploading and archiving of documents via PM. This application, developed in VB.Net, watches for any file creation/changes and uploads the files via FTP to a specified server or email. I can create a quick prototype version for you to try it out. This system tray application was developed in VB.Net and its a Document Management application to control user creation of documents and automatically send the files for archiving to remote servers using a custom built scheduler. This application involved use of encrypted admin settings, ftp to automatically upload files to remote server, SMTP email, password protection and customized installation package. I have more than 6 years of experience in development of databases and applications based on MS Access, VB, ASP, VB.Net, SQL Server, Oracle.
