Develop a Python GUI Application Using QT

Hi. I read the project description an got interested in the project, but I need more details. Basically I have experience with QT application but the key point here is that "includes a set of data visualizations that animate while a video is played" so, I may need more details on this part so that I could tell you for sure if projects fits my skills. Waiting for details so that we could continue.

Hi, Thanks for posting this project. I am a competent Qt developer who has experience in Python. I am quit familiar with PySide (Qt binding for Python) and you can check my experience in SYR project here. According your details, I think PySide is what we need to use in this project if you have a requirement for Python. Otherwise plain QT can also be uses but I have to get exact requirements to decide. Hi mate, I worked so much with python and QT in scientifical agency of my country. So I could suggest you to use the native GUI of Python Tkinter, because QT, that is wrapped from C, it needs shared libraries that they re dependent of each system(Linux, Mac and etc.). Using Tkinter , you will overcome this handicap. Of course it is just a suggestions, because I could work with Qt as well. Thanks for your attention and I hope we could work together. Regards, Alan

Actual i wanted to work on qt , because I am college student I have made a lot of projects in qt , impressed everyone in my college .Qt is not open source all thought so I shifted to gtk+ but I still have worked a lot on gui design.

Hello, My name is Alexandru i am developing Python + PyQt4 applications for 3 years now. I have done similar work before so animating 2d graphs in sync with a video sequence. I can propose using PyQt phonon api for video manipulation and Pyqtgraph for fast graph ploting. If you are interested please let me know. Alexandru

I added an item to my portfolio which uses PySide for the GUI. However, since this project involves data representation, I highly recommend using pyqtgraph because it contains a standard GUI library (built on PyQt4/PySide) and makes graphing very easy. I'm also familiar with packing Python programs into distributable executables in case you need that (.app for Mac, .exe for Windows, .deb for Debian based Linux distros).

Hi, My company has 15 developers and all of them are working in Python/ Django/ JS. We have been working on deploying a notification app over the cloud. This works with Twillio and MailGun and provides Text, IVR and Email services to roughly 1000+ medical facilities around North America. Another portal that too using AWS, SQS , S3 and EC2 serves to allow job candidates to schedule medical fitness tests across 3000 clinics. The portal keeps track of the appointment and also provides reporting facility using a rules based engine. The corner stone of our work is - Promise then deliver. We give our own estimates and don't buckle to customer pressures to do it earlier. Once we commit a date we ensure we deliver on that. - Agile Methodology for tracking tasks - Test Driven Development (Selenium as well as UnitTests) to ensure our product is as per specs.
