Hello, We have a live website that has a lot of in-house codes that was written by me.
Recently we want to hire a two freelancers who will be working remotely on our site and we want to restrict their FTP access.
We have two directories in the site that they will be working on:
/home/site/public_html/cgi-bin >> PERL Coder
/home/site/public_html/cgi-bin/theme/ >> HTML Coder
I do not want PERL coder to access the HTML coder files and vise vera.
When I say access I mean they should not be able to see, edit, or download each other's files
Successful bidder will teach me how to:
1. Create FTP user accounts in Centos using SSH (We use Cpanel sometimes with Pure-FTPD)
2. Restrict those FTP users to their own directory only
3. In case of perl coder [/cgi-bin/] restrict him from accessing subdirectory [/cgi-bin/theme/]
As I mentioned above sometimes we use Cpanel Pure-FTPD but when I create FTP users I can only assign them a directory and they will have access to all of it's subdirectory. So PERL coder will have access to HTML coders files since /theme is a subdirectory of /cgi-bin.
Thank you for bidding.
