Create a program that pulls stats from web API's for cryptocurrencies

I would like a program written to gather stats on different cryptocurrencies regarding their network hash power, difficulty, current block, etc. I would also like to get stats from several of the different exchanges regarding the different coin exchange rates. I would like to keep historical data, be able to view different types of charts and graphs and be able to set indicators. I have no idea what the best way to do this is or what languages to use. I am not looking looking for a polished product to share with others, just something I can use for myself. Most coins and exchanges have some form of API to get the information I'm wanting with the exception of historical data. The coin historical data regarding the difficulty, network hashrate etc. can probably be gathered from the coin's blockchain but again I'm not familiar with it. I'm not looking to spend tons of money on this, really what I am looking for at a minimum is for some basic tools to be created to gather this information and store it. From there I can take that data and work on displaying it the way I want in Excel although I doubt that is the best way to do it. I'm just assuming that the money I am willing to spend is better spent creating the tools to get the data. So for now I am looking for someone who thinks they have the skills AND the familiarity with this topic to discuss this further with so I can get a better idea of what needs to be done and how much it will cost.
