Adapt a kivy app to use hand recognition

I would like to take a simple app that I already have that uses kinect for hand gesture recognition, written with the framework kivy, and adapt it to use leap motion instead. The goal of the app is selecting different rectangles that continuously appear on the screen by using the hand position with leap motion.
