We have a few demo offices with about 20 PC's (XP) on LAN. They shoud be able to force-close anything that's open on the screen of a current logged in session and display a website.
We want local admins to be able to run a script/software (currently [login to view URL], using PAEXEC from [login to view URL]), that triggers execution of the local script C:\[login to view URL] - (this script already does what we need: closes everything and opens browser).
Execution of [login to view URL] on all PCs has to be initiated simultaneously from the main machine on the same LAN.
All logged in user sessions have same username/password.
NOTE: Even if some of the PCs are not available on LAN the software should tolerate that condition and not hang or wait for a long timeout.
We have created a script that almost does the job but it hangs on disconnected/misconfigured PCs' IPs (please see [login to view URL])
We're open for any ideas but the objective is the same - the person in charge should be able to force all PCs on LAN to close anything that's open on logged-in sessions and open browser within a few seconds.
