Hello, I am a professional writer and editor with over 20 years experience, and I would like to submit a proposal for your book proofreading project. I have a degree in Creative Writing, and I have been working full-time as a freelance editor for the past five years during which time I have edited several published books ranging from novels to law textbooks. I have a good working knowledge of online marketing, and I am proficient in both U.S. and U.K. English. I am a perfectionist when it comes to the English language, and I am also skilled at correcting errors without changing the author's voice. I do all of my editing using the track changes feature of MS Word, including both in-line edits and comments regarding the reasons for the changes along with any suggestions I might have for improving the readability and flow, word choice, etc. I generally charge $3/500 words for this type of editing so I estimated my bid based on your page count; if the word count differs significantly from my estimate I can adjust my bid accordingly. Hello. I have 40y of technical and academic editing and proofreading. I am also a ghostwriter and have written and re-written several hundred legal articles. My approach is to do a "tracked changes" version with feedback and comments, and also an "all changes accepted" version so that you can more easily read the altered text.
