Hello
Thank you for the invite and I'd be delighted to critique your work - you may be assured it will remain 100% confidential.
Proofreading and editing require 100% accuracy - there is no room for errors. Whether it is a leaflet, letter, thesis or book, one error looks unprofessional. It is a reflection of you and your work.
I have only been with Freelancer for 10 months so I can’t top the number of reviews - but my ‘repeat hire rate’ is already over 30% higher than my nearest competitor.
A Freelancer who has been here much longer, HappyMarli, has posted a document in her portfolio as a sample of her writing, proofreading and editing ability. After proofreading, there are still 6 basic spelling and grammatical errors which have been missed in fewer than 300 words, which you can see outlined here:

My intention is not to be critical, but for you just to see all the errors for yourself – and to ask if this standard is all you need, or if you require 5* 100% accuracy and every error corrected.
A 5* average rating = 0 errors
A 4.9* average rating = 99% accuracy = 10 errors / 1,000 words
A 98% pass for the Freelancer top level 3 English exam is my other way of not just saying I have exceptional English skills, but proving it too.
I’d genuinely like to help you and I respond promptly to messages, so if you need swift and accurate results, please say ‘Hello’!!
Kind Regards
David Dundas
