Custom DTD extending XHTML

This project requires writing a custom DTD that extends XHTML. A definition of the "whteko file format" is here: [login to view URL] We need a .dtd that can be used to validate .whteko files, assuming that lines approximately like this are added to the beginning of each whteko file: Our format allows for multiple html pages to be defined in a single file. Therefore the dtd must add our tags as outer tags, and allow for strict xhtml to be used within our tags. The dtd should (if possible) allow for comments with 3 leading dashes (instead of the usual 2) and closing 3 dashes. (If absolutely not possible, we will go with 3 leading dashes and 2 closing dashes.) The dtd should allow for WebHub commands to be included within the XHTML tags. You may not need to do anything to allow this, just do not take away this syntax. I'm happy to answer further questions about this bid request. I am not a DTD expert (which is why I am looking for you). I apologize for any vagueries in this description. Added 27-Oct: If you would like to prove your skills with DTD files, please download [login to view URL] (385 bytes) and provide a DTD for that document. It uses only 2 custom tags, WHTEKO and WHDESIGN, and absolutely minimal attributes. Notes: (1) I am not sure whether the first xml line is required. (2) The DOCTYPE line is fictitious. You should replace with valid syntax, pointing to a DTD on your web site. ## Deliverables The DTD will be considered correct when our demo .whteko files can be loaded into Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 and validated against the DTD without errors. All the test files are available for download using CVS. The cvs instructions are available under the [download] link within [login to view URL] As of 25-Oct-2004, the "ADV" demo should pass whteko validation and should be the first demo tested by you. Test every .whteko file listed under "WebHub-HTML Source" on the [source] page (total of 9 files). You should then deliver your DTD to us, and we'll check the rest of the demos, correct any XHTML errors and let you know whether there are any remaining problems in the DTD itself. You would then polish the DTD and deliver a final version, which we would prove against all the demos. We commit to a maximum of one week delay for our part in correcting the demo files; any files which we do not have time to correct will be excluded from your responsibility. ## Platform Dreamweaver MX 2004 validation or equivalent
