This is the first phase of a project to develop a digital signature plug-in for Adobe Acrobat. The plug-in would have functionality similar to the Self-Sign Security plug-in supplied with Acrobat 5.0 or the Silanis ApproveIt plugin developed by silanis.com. There will be some additional features not supported by these products. For this first phase I require assistance from a coder familiar with digital signatures and with developing plug-ins for Adobe Acrobat (or someone willing and able to become familiar with these subjects). The coder and I will discuss the capabilities of the digital signature architecture supported by Adobe Acrobat and develop a specification for the final plug-in that represents an achievable solution. I will do the primary writing and diagramming of the specification. The coder will research capabilities and limitations of the Acrobat development environment in response to my inquiries. There may be some minor programming as required to verify specific capabilities, but no coding of the final plug-in product. The coder must have access to Adobe Acrobat development tools and documentation and must have capabilities to produce small mock-up plug-ins to test concepts or verify capabilities. At my discretion, actual development of the plug-in may be bid openly as a separate project based on the specification produced in this first phase, or, depending on the scope of the project and our working relationship, it may be bid to the successful bidder only.
## Deliverables
Where test or mock-up code is produced to verify capabilities or test concepts, complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. A non-disclosure and non-compete agreement will be required of the successful bidder relative to the application and concepts discussed as a part of the specification. Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
