Using Access 2000 (or SQL) for the database and VB 6 as the language & GUI, I need a project that contains a number of functions. First, the database has a table to store values for points in the plane (tblNODES) with columns NODE_ID, X, Y, Z, NODE_DESCRIPTION (and an on/off status) and a table (tblGROUPS) with columns GROUP_ID, GROUP_DESCRIPTION. Maybe a 3rd table needed with NODE_ID and GROUP_ID,I'm not sure. Then, the functions I need should be stored in a BAS so that they're not project-specific, but they would store results in variables in order for them to be used by any program. The functions I need are: 1. Connect the database and write a function that reads the points from the database and displays them on the form. 2. Function to output the points in an ASCII tab-delimited text file. 3. Function to output edges (from an array of edges). 4. Algorithm for all-pair-shortest path & all-pair furthest path. 5. Algorithm for shortest pair and furthest pair. 6. Algorithm for Minimum spanning tree. 7. Convex Hull (Graham's scan) and graphically output the convex hull of the points. 8. Algorithm for TSP(Traveling Salesman Problem). 9. Quick sort by x-axis. 10. Triangulation (maybe Delanauy)and graphical output of it. That's about it. I have to deliver it latest in 1 week from today. For the connection I prefer code than ADO control. Also, I need to see the output of each function created.
## Deliverables
Complete and fully-functional working program in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. I'll have to present the work to my professor, so thorough documentation and explanation will be needed so that I understand the code and be able to explain it. Keep it as simple as possible. Don't need fancy things, just a totally working program, doing exactly what requested. Also, in functions I always need parameters (so they can be used--as the professor requested-- in any other program)and results stored in variables. Not in command buttons etc. Pls, don't include anywhere your name, it's supposed to be my program. I have to put it in a cd to hand it to the professor. I include the professor's example, but be sure not to use his code. It's just a little example he made in Access to have sth as a reference. But I need Bisual Basic 6, not Access alone.
## Platform
It runs on Windows 08, 2000, NT Server, XP, generally Windows.
