Amazon ECS Search

What I am looking for here is a basic search facility. Amazon provide developers with a set of API's to interact with their data, you can find details here <[login to view URL]> For several regions they offer the ability to search by EAN (Barcode), however this is something that they have not allowed for the UK market. Another restriction in the regions that do allow barcode searches is that before you type in the barcode you have to select which category the product appears in. This is quite restrictive. There is an application available in from a company called spaceware (<[login to view URL]>) called AMan Pro which allows you to just type/scan a barcode and it retrieves the data. **Please note:** I do not require that the software is a replication of this software and it is not a requirement that you look at this software. I have provided this link simply to demostrate that the functionality I requested is possible and give you a chance to see it working.
