need advice or suggestions how to sync two excel based database. The two database have same fields such as "ID", "title", "description", "price", "quality" etc. The first one is old database, while the second one is updated database with some data changed, and some new records entered. I want to have a simple way of updating the old database with the new database. I can't simply replace the database because there are some records in the old database I need to keep. (so the old database could have 1000 records, while the new dababase could have only 500 records). The automation need to be done is like:
1. for each record_ID in database_new,
2. find the same record_ID in database_old,
3. update the record in database_old with information from database_new if there are changes in the record (such as price or description or quality);
4. save database_old.
Is there a way to achieve this through functions in Excel? Or any other methods... suggestions?
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
