A plug-in that inspects the browsed page (after tidying) and process the contained text.

Parts of text have to be split into sentences and words, including intelligence to support:

- abbreviations ending with a dot

- case sensitivity

- word- and sentence border sensitivity

- matching words against an (encrypted) words list, highlighting words as ' unknown' when not found

- matching strings against regular expressions (in a database), highlighting the matches founds, offering a mouseover message from the database.

Consider Vocabulary Highlighter as an inspiration.

Should at least work perfectly on Linux, Windows, preferrably on Apple.

## Deliverables

In addition to the global functional criteria are:

- robustness

- stability

- low on resources (as much as possible)

- extensively documented source

- exclusivity of the created functionality

- easily translatable using separate language files, no messages should be directly in the code

- code should be independedly reviewed
