I am an experienced Linux administrator. I can authenticate myself so you could be sure that I will do no harm to your server / services nor abuse your data. Also, I am ready to sign NDA if needed. I can be verified for example by VAT EU number. Please provide more details so then I could estimate time and effort needed for this task and adjust my bid accordingly, but actually a lot better solution would be to post this project on a hourly rate basis. Hello, I am Belgian, 34 years old, I have quite a lot of real working experience in IT, almost 15 years, working with linux and windows servers, I have been working with Nestle, Ozone, LAN10, tour & taxis and many other smal companies. It's a piece of cake for me to install, configure and maintain linux servers. But I have a question, do you plan to only use linux or do you plan to use or play with any windows feature like exchange or such? If this is the case, I would recommend using a vmware esx server, as you can run multiple virtual machines on the same computer, manage resources and easily put a server down for maintenance without affecting the whole system.. Anyway, I would recommend you to buy 2 or even 3 hard disk drives, the same size but from different series or manufacturers, to setup a raid array (if you buy hard drives from the same manufacturer, from the same series, from the same shop, chances are they will fail together at the same time..) I am available almost immediately on freelancer or skype or google hangouts etc.. I would do the setup with you, step by step, and write a re-installation/disaster recovery procedure with you..

Hi there , I have more than 7 year experience working in LAMP environment. I can write set of bash files to setup LAMP , your application and databases . Depending on the complexity of application it will take couple days or a day . For the dev enviroment we can also setup a virtual box and related software so if you are on windows you will still able to access linux dev server (local) . I have been Linux Sys Admin for web development organization for quite some time. I can help you do it over team viewer. I could help you do Web Server + Mail Server + Firewall + FTP (and others like MySQL etc) on Virtual Machine. I recommend using Centos/Redhat/Oracle Linux as base operating Sysem.

Server - Building a good webserver is very easy BUT the problem you will run into will be if you do not have a dedicated IP address. If you have one of those, then you will be fine. As far as the server goes, I recommend a Linux server. With that, there is no Teamviewer. If you want a free type server manager then you can use ISP Config 3 to manage all websites and users. Anything else is not free though. We can walk you through the initial installation of the operating system and then take over from there. Should be up and running in about 3 hours. As far as the computer. YOu do not need a fancy computer to run a webserver. The faster the RAM and the more RAM then the better. You would want either a 10,000 rpm hard drive or an SSD drive. You can assume up to 500MB per website starting and then perhaps 1-500 mb per database if the websites have one. That is about average. There are of course much larger sites. If you are having paying customers on the server then you will want more than one hard drive so that you can set up RAID backups. A good 1000 ethernet card is also a good idea, but will be useless if you are not using CAT6 network cable nor a Gigabit router. That would be the minimum. You can still do it all with a normal computer and normal hardware, but you will run into performance issues down the road.

We are a small bunch of people who are comfortable in development, designing and pushing code to production servers. We have worked with various hosting providers such as Rackspace, GoDaddy, HostGator, Digital Ocean etc. We have configured a lot of linux boxes. The most common one of them being the LAMP stack. We are assuming that's what you are looking for. Once we set this up for you, we will also install an Open SSH server so authorized users can remotely SSH into the box and perform updates if necessary.
