Apple Script to Automate a simple task

We have several hundred HTML files that need to be ASCII compatible. ? A simple method we have found is to open them in apple's Text Edit program and re-save them with the same name and place back in the same folder, replacing the older files. ? We've changed the preferences in text edit to save html files with western ASCII encoding. We would like a script developed using Python or any other language to automate this process. ? In short, the script should: Open all html files from folders within a directory on our server in Text edit Re-Save then files with the same name and in the same folder If you know of a more efficient method, we're open to suggestions This is an urgent project and should be done within 1-2 days
