We are using Ms Access local data base and we want to take it to a internet environment using php and Mysql that will sit on a Linux server.
It is a basic data base application where each Case is given a unique Case number. The case has various details that are taken from other tables including Customer's table that we must be able to manipulate (add/edit etc).
The users will have their own user id and password and each user will handle one record at a time unless multi edit is easy to set up. Users will be either in groups where each user group will have permissions to view/add/edit a case record or one user can be set to see only one case record.
We want to be able to search on any field or multiple fields using wild cards.
We want to be able to generate and save report templates and also to manage (add/edit etc) the various other tables.
We want to be able to add new fields for a record.
At the moment we have an Ms Access data base with 40,000 cases that must be uploaded to the target Mysql.
