The web site [People of Peru Project][1] is currently a static web site. The owner needs to update content regularly and we have trouble finding time to do it when needed. We are suggesting he convert the site to a CMS based platform so he can log in and change content himself.
We are looking for an open source platform like Drupal or similar system. We are not too picky about which platform is chosen, however it must be easy to use for end users who have NO knowledge about HTML tags and coding.
The system will need to be able to have a skin applied so that the site design can be updated when necessary. We are not stuck on keeping the current layout or style. However, the layout and style should be VERY SIMPLE. Most options offered by CMS packages will probably NOT BE USED and they should not be visible if they are not used in the layout/design.
This project requires implementing the CMS and developing/applying the templates so the site has a nice, easy look. I will give samples of what kind of look we are trying to achieve to the coder who is awarded the project. Please have a look at the current site for ideas about what types of content will need to be included.
The photo album script does not need to be converted because we already have a script installed for that. So maybe just a link to the photo album page would suffice. We will probably require assistance in getting the photo album design updated to match the rest of the site.
Code should be XHTML complient, use of CSS is required for the template work.
