Looking to improve current search results for our oscommerce store. This project will be broken down in two milestones: Milestone 1: (Initial coding and testing) ============ 1. Initial coding of the search engine functionality. Setting up php page, creating tables, html, mysql quering. 2. Setting up the search result page 3. Navigation based on Vehicle Type, Product Type (Categories), Manufacturer, Price 4. AutoCompletes the term entered into the search box 5. Display Pomotional Banners based on search term on top page of the search results 6. "Did you mean?" suggestions 7. Sort by: Relevance, Price Low to High, Price High to Low, Popularity 8. Singular and plural variations 9. Spelling Suggestions 10. Search Results will be tested against 20 search Terms Milestone 2: (Site Search Reports and Analytic) ============ Search Tracking Top Search Terms Number of Searches by day, week, month, yearly Average Number of Results Keyword List Most Popular Search Terms Searches with No-Results Email Daily Report (Sample report will be provided) We will provide screenshot of how results will be displayed. We will also provide screen shots and other detail information for each listed item above. Success of this project will be determined based on the Relevance search results.
