This task involves animating the image of a US quarter so that it appears to "roll" back and forth within a banner ad. Attention to detail is required, as described below. ## Deliverables Attached please find two initial banner images and one image of a US quarter. The banners are both four times the size of the final deliverable, as I find it easier to work at 4x resolution, and then reduce images for delivery. Your deliverable will one animated GIF, sized 728x90, with infinite looping. You will first need to create eight smaller images of the quarter, each rotated 45° from the prior, so that you can display even rotation of the quarter in eight separate orientations. To do this, please first increase colors to ~16 million and increase the images's contrast (as this quarter's image could be clarified better) once, and then rotate and resize to 18.75% of the original, *in that order* (for best image clarity). You *should* be able to use the initial banner images exactly as they are, but here's what I used to create them, if you need that info for whatever reason: 72 point Arial bold #CC0000 [login to view URL] We build Big Lists Fast! 72 point Arial bold #0000CC Exclusive, fresh, ethical real-time lead generation 72 point Arial bold #000000 Name + email 25¢ & up! (NO phone/postal) In both cases, do *not* use the quarters (and the surrounding grey square) shown on rq0 and rq1; these are provided strictly to show where *your* work should be placed. You will use a white background, so that the squares will not show at all. The first frame of the animation will appear much like image rq0, with the exception that you will use your own quarter, oriented as shown, no square will appear, and of course, the entire frame will match the required 728x90 size. This frame will appear for 3 seconds. The next twelve frames will show the quarter "rolling" to the left. As it covers (overwrites) the red text, said text will be hidden, and appearing on the quarter's right will be the black text shown in rq1. The black text will be revealed from right to left as the quarter rolls to the left. Neither the red text nor the black text will appear to move; once a portion of the black text is revealed, it will remain in place, so that after the twelve frames, it will be fully visible as shown in rq1. Each frame should appear for 0.1 seconds. Each frame's quarter should be rotated 45° counterclockwise from the corresponding quarter in the previous frame. Thus the total rotation will be 1.5 revolutions, with the final image appearing on the left side, upside down and "facing" the (now completely visible) black text. In honor of Pi Day (03/14), I shall now proceed to actually *use* pi in my advertising. :-) The original quarter image has a diameter of 384 pixels, and when reduced to 18.75%, should end up with a diameter of 72 pixels. Its circumference (c = pi * d) is 3.14159 * 72 = 226.19, and 1.5 times that yields the total distance the quarter rolls: 339.29 pixels. Each frame should see the quarter rolling one twelfth of that, or 28.27 pixels (which is, of course, also one eighth of the circumference). After the quarter is in position on the left side of the banner, much like what is shown in rq1, the image should appear for 3 seconds. The next twelve frames will reverse the process, at the same speed, with the quarter rolling back to the right, overwriting the black text and revealing the red text. The final frame should complete the image which originally appeared in the first frame, thus allowing the loop to start again. (In fact, I think the final quarter needn't even be displayed, as the first frame should actually do this.) You *must* use the animation technique which only overwrites the portion of the graphic which needs to be overwritten for each frame. i.e., Do *not* refresh the entire banner at any point! | ![][1] | PGP is **not** required for this project. | | ![][2] | An NDA is **not** required for this project. | We will retain full legal rights to the code and/or data upon completion.
