We have developed a custom format that we store a video of a desktop capture session in. The format is basically a set of highly compressed bitmaps. Currently we play the files through a custom player that we have build, however we would like to be able to play these files on a web page though windows media player. We also keep a recorded audio session that is time synchronized with the video. This audio file should also be played in media player with the video. It is stored in either a VOX (ADPCM) or wav format. The files are stored on a central server, and should be streamed to our web based application when a user requests it. We have already written an application to convert our video to AVI, so this is not the solution we are looking for. The AVI files were much larger than our source files are, and transcoding on the server requires too much CPU and memory usage. We will provide full specification for our video format. Basically it is a large set of compressed bitmaps as either full bitmaps or just bitmap changes that are highly compressed. We will provide more detail to the developer that is chosen on the compression algorithms. We prefer that either C++, VB or Delphi is used for development.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
4) Deliverable must run as a self installing plugin, codec or filter to Windows media player. We must be able to directly play the files with little or no modification. Adding a header and/or interweavinf the audio and video for streaming purposes is ok. 5) We must be able to stream the files from a web server (typically on an internal corporate lan).
## Platform
Must run on Microsoft Windows platforms including Windows 98, 2000, XP, and Vista. If possible, we would like the codec to work for Macintosh and Linux based environments as well.
