[login to view URL] description of the principles underlying the implementation of linear block coders and decoders. 2. Determine the distance, error detection, and error correction capabilities of the proposed block code. 3. one worked example demonstrating the principles of the encoding process. 4. one worked example demonstrating the principles of how successful decoding can be achieved assuming that no bit error occured on the channel. 5. one worked example showing the hard-decision decoder is used to detect a bit error. 6. one worked example showing how the hard decision decoder is used for correcting the bit error. 7. Mathematical derivation of the theoritical performance of the linear block coder/decoder (assume that a hard decision BPSK modem over the AWGN is used). The uncoded and coded BER performance curve (as a function of Eb/No) should be plotted using MATLAB. From this graph the coding gain achieved by the codec subsystem should be estimated. Additional marks can be gained by developing a MATLAB simulation of block coded BPSK. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform MATLAB
