Please see [login to view URL] (easier to read than below). Player Database (The five pages I need from you…) Main Idea (Create page, Edit page) Each record will include the following fields: Unchangeable: Hard Drive Serial Number, Caught Required: WonID, CS Name, Password Optional: Email, AIM, Extra Info To create an account, the user will have to click a button in my program. The button will direct them to something like: [login to view URL] The program will decide what ‘xxx’ is based on the user’s hard drive’s serial number. The [login to view URL] will have each of the above fields (except ‘Caught’) for the user to put info into. The hard drive serial number will be an unchangeable field (user cannot edit it). The value of that field will be determined based on ‘xxx’ (it will do the reverse of what the program did to get ‘xxx’. This method will prevent someone from creating an account for a hard disk number that doesn't belong to them. You can edit through a similar method, though you'll have to have your password as well (link: [login to view URL]?pw=xxx). I'll write the minor algorithm (to get serial number --> ‘xxx’ --> serial number) and give you the steps. On the left side of the page are links to the main areas of the site (see link at end for example). Search Page: the page will have a search tool that can search hard drive serial numbers, cs names, email, etc (any field, excluding ‘password’ and ‘caught’) View All Page: Will have letters A-Z, ‘#’, and 'Other' as links across top of the page (under banner and header that says ‘Player Database’). Clicking on the letter will show a list of all CS names starting with that letter (or # [number] or other character). This page is default page that loads up when clicking Player Database. Before a letter is clicked, it has a short description of what the player database is. Admin Page: There will have to be an admin page. It will require a password and username to be accessed. It will allow for the editing of 'Caught' field of players. [login to view URL] (Links example)
