I am an aid worker, working in Myanmar on the response to Cyclone Nargis which hit in May this year and devastated a huge part of the southern delta region. I work for the biggest operational aid agency currently on the scene. This is a well-known International aid agency - we were already present in the country before the cyclone hit and have been able to scale up to over 1,000 staff in country. Even though the cyclone hit 3 months ago, hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling to meet basic, everyday needs for survival. We are working on everything imaginable from distributions of essential goods, provision of food in bulk, curative health through static and mobile clinics, livelihoods activities to help people regain an income, and providing hygiene training, facilities and fresh water to avoid potential outbreaks of diseases like cholera.

As a responsible, reputable agency we take monitoring all this work very seriously. We need to track what we're doing where, and know what impact that work is having on people's lives and how well it is being done. We have a "Monitoring & Evaluation" team dedicated full-time to carrying out this important analysis work.

I work for that team and I have an URGENT need to set up a simple? Access database that will allow field staff to enter details about the activities they are carrying out. I have done some Access work before but my skills are rusty. I have put together a draft specification and laid the foundations of the database itself. I need a skilled Access programmer to help me finish this thing off.

It is not an exaggeration to say that anyone who offers support in this mini-project would be contributing hugely to work that is saving lives right now and will continue to do so for months to come. We are still in the middle of the monsoon season and those who survived are dealing with depressingly tough conditions.

I'm putting this out in the hope of finding someone willing to support this pro bono. Donor funding is incredibly (but understandably) restricted in order to maximize delivery to our beneficiaries. I'm hoping some kind soul out there will be willing to help me out with this pro bono. It would take me a month to do by myself - with a bit of expert remote coaching from the right person I'm sure I can get it done in a week.

## Deliverables

Just to stress the urgency of this project. Testing will be on live pilots in all locations and? ideally, a beta version needs to be ready to deploy into active service by mid-August (next Friday!). Reports can be added in later - the important thing is to get the tables/queries/forms right so that we can start collecting data.
