The purpose of the project is to create an extension to the right-click menu in internet explorer enabling users to right-click on e.g. a link to a pdf file. The script should then retrieve the contents of the link, create a https connection to a specific server, and submit a post request including the contents of the retrieved link. Ideally, the script will function without any installation and in any browser, but it is sufficient if it functions as an installable add-on/extension to IE.

It would be interesting to see if we could create the function e.g. in JavaScript such that it could be installed as an IE plugin (if user has privileges for this), and at the same time function as a javascript which could be included directly from our server (e.g. in a frameset). This way we would achieve the most possible flexibility, and be able to use the tool/script in many scenarios (and browsers). I do not know whether it is possible to create an IE extension in JavaScript and install it in the browser. If this is not possible, we will have to split it up into two tools - one being an IE extension which is installed and the other being a JavaScript which can be included from our server. Does this make sense and do you see what we are trying to achieve?
## Platform
