Remote server database will contain businesses in several categories. The number of records will not exceed 1 Million. The database has to be on the server because it may have to be updated regularly. DB can be assessed via Internet/Webservices. Data Filter program: Data will be supplied in comma-separated/XML file. A data filter will need to be developed to select records from this input file. Output file shall be indexed and stored on remote server. Development can start will local database but final program has to work with remote database. Application performance on mobile device is very important because database has to be remotely accessed. List View: The app will present the? user with a list of these businesses in the vicinity of 1 mile/km radius of the phone. Maximum? 6-8 per page that can be scrolled.
