c++ Linux KDE beginner questions.

I am learning c++ while trying to follow a KDE4 tutorial on creating a simple plasmoid. [login to view URL] I need someone to help me as there is a few lines of code I do not understand. I am fine with the header file and the '.cpp' until I get to PlasmaTutorial1::PlasmaTutorial1(QObject *parent, const QVariantList &args) : Plasma::Applet(parent, args), m_svg(this), m_icon("document") { [login to view URL]("widgets/background"); // this will get us the standard applet background, for free! setBackgroundHints(DefaultBackground); resize(200, 200); } I am used to visual basic .net so I was expecting [login to view URL](200, 200) but I am not even sure what this is resizing. I also have some experience with Java and a very small amount of python. I have read some of the c++ basics in on-line tutorials, I just need some help with this as it is my first program and I am quite new to Linux and KDE.
