Distributed Mail System

Looking for development team capable of building 3-tier solution. Client-side application will search for email clients and pull from the client's the SMTP settings. Application will then receive instructions from web service regarding messages to be sent out. This can be developed in Visual c++ or Delphi.

Selected team will also develop server solution, which will be developed in .Net with SQL Server. The server will serve as a gateway between the servers which provide the source data and the client applications which receive the data. The source data servers are called Network Servers. The Network Servers will communicate with the Gateway server by means of web service. The Network Servers will provide the Gateway Server with user data, contact information and email message content. The client applications will communicate with the Gateway Server and receive this data. the client applications will then use basic business rules to send out the email messages to the contacts according to message sending rules.

I will be working with the selected team on a time-and-materials basis, but with a not-to-exceed budget amount. Right now, I am looking for a team to provide me with the following:

1. 3 references to satisfied US clients

2. Descriptions of at least 3 3-tier applications with a client-side application communicating with a web server over web services

3. Confirmation of experience working in either Delphi or Visual c++

4. confirmation of experience working in c#

5. confirmation of experience working with SQL Server

6. description of your communication process with clients

7. description of your approach to customer service

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

Delphi or Visual c++ for the client, which must work on WinXP Home and higher.
