ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Works regularly as a member of one or more project teams, accepting shared responsibility for all work performed by the team, as described below. Appropriate authority shall be granted to the team member, to match the responsibility expected. · May also work individually on specific projects, · Performs project development activities for new and existing custom software applications, including: Works with the project originator and management to determine acceptable project deliverables. Maintains project design documents; which include a project overview, project conceptual design, and workflow, analysis and project deliverables timeline estimates. Performs system/module level software analysis/design functions. Performs module level coding functions. Performs system/module level testing. Maintains a continual line of written and verbal communication with team members Oracle Financials, including user access/security - RBAC Oracle Developer/2000 version. · Provides quick-turnaround troubleshooting and resolution for daily "Helpdesk" requests from customers for problems with software applications supported by the Applications Development section of Information Services. Often must work in conjunction with other non-development personnel in providing the final solution. · Prepares individual status reports and timesheets for IS management on a weekly, or other required frequency, for the purpose of tracking time distribution and development work attempted/completed during the current reporting period and development work planned for the next period. · Works under minimal supervision. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: A Baccalaureate degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Three or more years experience writing software code Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Customer satisfaction oriented Application Development experience using RDBMS concepts Ability and desire to work in a team oriented environment All of the following technical skills: C, SQR, SQL, PL/SQL, ORACLE FORMS Knowledge business computer applications and lines of business Language proficiency: Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills. Must speak clearly in person and over the telephone.
